Crepe Town
We’re starting to develop our coffee lounge, and we here at tMS are calling the cosy area ‘Crepe Town’ due to the delicious savoury and sweet crepes on offer at a bargain £5 including coffee! Easily the best in Stow-cum-Quy.
Sockbus
Those of you that pass by every now and then may have noticed the presence of our wonderful old Double Decker Sockbus in the car park. From this legendary vehicle, fully kitted out with a bar and top-deck lounge, we’ll be serving up food, drinks & World Cup action for those wanting to get involved in the sporting festivities!
Red Alert
A reminder that the infamous tMS Red Alert night is on the 29th of this month, which if the last one is anything to go by, will surely be a night to remember. They key to Red Alert at The Missing Sock is interaction, and there’ll be self-cooking with raclettes, welcome cocktails, live photo projections, spontaneous percussion and random dance. We only have a few places left though, so if you’re interested, get in touch asap and we’ll see if we can book you a spot.
Sunday Lunch
We’re looking at developing a unique way to spend your Sundays, with a tMS style Sunday lunch that will bring together elements of all the traditions we know and love, but with a few tMS twists and turns. Ideas so far include starting with a puppet show for the young and young-at-heart, wood –fired roasting tins full of roasty goodness, and finishing off with board games in ‘Crepe Town’ or a family movie in the wisdom corner. Lots to look forward to, so watch this space.
Art
We’ve had a very nice man called Peter drop some art off for us, and it turns out he’s a very talented fellow indeed! His work is hanging in our lobby now, and looks a treat. But we’d like some more, so if you are an artist, or know a talent you can put forward, we’re looking for art that demonstrates humour, kindness/wisdom, an international theme – we’re open to suggestions so please get in touch!
Music & Spoken Word
We’re also looking to develop expression sessions here at tMS, and welcome anybody that’s looking to demonstrate their talent or mix with like-minded individuals. We’ve talked about Sunday Jazz, evening jam sessions, poetry readings... it’s all good, and really appreciated here at The Missing Sock, so get in touch if this is something you dig!
